Introduction

Decision making is one of the most important functions in any organization. Every year, millions of decisions are made that directly affect efficiency, customer satisfaction and business results. The problem is not that we have too little data, but that we have too much of it. Generative AI can create reports and summaries, but it doesn’t connect information or explain what it really means.

Agentic AI, or the action layer, takes that understanding and turns it into activity. It can plan and execute tasks based on what SynthAI has already processed and understood.

Learning AI follows the results and improves each layer over time.

Predictive models can see patterns, and generative models can describe them, but they can’t turn them into understanding without SynthAI.

And as Agentic AI develops, the need for systems that can truly understand before they act becomes even more critical. SynthAI provides that level of trusted insight. It gives the agentic layer the reasoning it needs to operate safely and in context.

Following the publication of this article, the AI concept previously referred to as SynthAI has been renamed Symantic AI.

This change was made to avoid confusion with Synthetic AI, which commonly refers to AI systems used to generate synthetic content such as text, images, audio, video, or other artificially created media.

Throughout future publications, the term Symantic AI will be used to describe this concept. Existing articles that reference SynthAI should therefore be understood as referring to Symantic AI.
